Isolated Controls

Isolated Controls
From a comfy panel in an industrial facility, use controls on the panel to guide an old robot to be scrapped and ultimately meet their doom. Dodge various traps and pitfalls to ensure that the little robot is able to ethically meet their end.

Project Overview
Over the course of about 48 hours me and several other students participated in a game jam with the theme "isolated controls", thus the name of the project. We settled on the idea of controlling something from afar and set out to create something that had that particular feeling at the very least. That is what led to the creative decision to have the game play off of what appeared to be an industrial panel like it was remotely controlling things elsewhere.

Decided on a concept and committed to it in a very short amount of time.

This was the core concept image that was generated and agreed upon by the team. I was responsible for this image. The key as shown there is also how levels were drafted out.
